As of late, I have been on this journey of self-reflection, self-expression, self-discovery, and just really working on being more kind to myself, and to others. I have made attempts at journaling to express my thoughts, but either I was never able to stay consistent with it, or when I did write something, I thought it sounded "silly,"so I would tear the page out and toss it. That sounds ridiculous, especially knowing that no one was going to see what I had written down.
Well, this new journal might just be what I was looking for to get me over my writing rut. I went to Homegoods after work to browse and check out all of the new merchandise when I stumbled upon this 52 Lists Project journal. There were two sitting on the shelf, and I was intrigued by the cover, so I picked one up and started skimming through it. I instantly fell in love with the layout and the concept, and decide to purchase it, without hesitation. It's broken down into the four seasons, and there are 52 lists, one for each week of the year. Each list has a topic - for instance, for list #1, it says "list your goals and dreams for this year," and then the next page offers a tip for that list topic.

I think this style of journaling is going to be more of my speed because it's all about just following the guideline. Sometimes, it's difficult for me to clearly express what is inside my head, so I think this journal is going to benefit me greatly, and plus, it's going to inspire me to be more consistent at writing/creating lists. I really hate starting something and not seeing it through, so I am really looking forward to this challenge.
