Why You Should Make Your Bed Everyday

I get it. Making your bed every day might seem like a worthless task, and right now, you're probably asking yourself, "Why make my bed when all I'm going to do is climb right back in it at the end of the day?" Well, there are a few good reasons why you should carve out a few extra minutes of your day to do this.
First, let me say that I usually make my bed everyday. There are times when I do not, but they are very few and far between, simply because I am obsessed with having an aesthetically pleasing living space, so my apartment is always tidy. On those days that I skip making the bed, I notice a change in energy. It is true that when you are surrounded by mess or clutter, it only confirms just how unorganized you really are, and why would you ever want to be reminded of that? I always feel so much better when my bed is made vs. those few days when I come home, walk in my room, and see pillows and sheets out of place.
Making your bed daily may not seem beneficial, but think about it. It promotes good energy. Think about how good you feel when you've tucked in that final sheet or fluffed that last pillow before stepping back, spraying your lavendar linen mist, and feeling that sense of accomplishment. I literally laughed as I typed that last sentence because it seems silly, but it's true! It's the little things that make the most impact on your well-being. Plus, doing something as simple as this will definitely kickstart other good habits because it teaches you self-discipline.
So, wake up 10 minutes earlier if you need to if you find yourself pressed for time. Do it for your own personal well-being. It's totally worth it.
