Palo Santo For Healing, Creativity, and Love + A New Book

Palo Santo, or what I like to refer to as "the magic stick," is a tree that grows on the coast of South America, and belongs in the same family as Frankincense, Myrrh, and Copal. Palo Santo is Spanish for "holy wood," and based on its cleansing, medicinal and therapeutic healing properties, I could not agree more.
When burning Palo Santo in your home, the smoke is meant to inspire creativity, cleanse your space of negativity energy, and bring love and good fortune. I love the scent of this wood. It's potent, but not overpowering. It is part of the citrus family, with hints of pine, lemon, and mint.
Palo Santo is a great element to add to your self-care practice, and sets the perfect mood for your environment.
In other wellness news, I bought a new book. A buddy of mine posted an excerpt of one of the pages on Twitter, and it really spoke to me. I've admitted before that sometimes I can be a bit hard on myself. I think everyone is their own worst critic, and sometimes we just need that inner voice to say, "Hush. You've got this. Stop beating yourself up." Being more kind to myself is something that I'm always mindful of, and something I practice every day, so I am really excited to start this book. Remember those other two I was currently reading? We're just going to put those on hold for a sec. This one has officially taken precedence.
