Five Recipes To Warm You Up For The Fall and Winter Months

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent the last two days indoors, and after this draining week, it was needed. With everything that's happened (you know what I'm talking about), I just....I needed to restore my damn soul.

The plan was for me to make chilli on Friday or Saturday, but I just wasn't in the mood to be in the kitchen longer than I needed to be, so it never happened. But this morning, I finally cut up those vegetables and cooked that turkey meat and prepared my spicy chilli, and as per usual, it was delicious.
It got me to thinking about how much I love soups and stews and chowders, and basically anything super filling and hearty. Below are some recipes I would recommend trying this fall and winter season, because why not? I've tried some, and the others are on my radar to prepare. Food, you have my heart forever.

Creamy Chicken, Spinach, and Mushroom Tortellini Soup via Cooking Classy. This looks so delish! I am definitely trying this one within the next couple weeks.

Homemade Cheesy Chilli Dip via Pinch of Yum. I'm such a huge fan of anything I can dip a tortilla chip into, so this is looking very attractive right about now. Mmm!

Balsamic Glazed Lamb Chops via The Kitchen McCabe. Listen, I've made this dish before, and let me just say OMG. I  need to pick up some lamb chops from the market, sooner than later. It was amazing. So damn good, so rich, so flavorful.

Crockpot Seafood Stew via Slow Cooker Gourmet. So, here's my thing with seafood stew and/or gumbo. I haven't attempted to try a recipe yet. Why, you ask? Because this is a dish that has no rooms for fucking up. Seafood is expensive! There is no room for errors. I do want to try this one day, because seafood is my weakness, but I need to really focus. Wasting seafood is NOT an option. Trial and error my ass.

Shrimp and Corn Chowder via Little Spice Jar. I love anything with the word "chowder" associated with it. I've never tried this recipe, but I did try one similar (using canned crab meat), and it was pretty good. I'd love to give this one a shot. Seafood, you have my heart.
