Music: Billboard #1's From 1970 to 1980 Featuring Donna Summer, Aretha Franklin, & More

For those who know me (whether it's strictly just through social media or in real life), you are definitely aware of my love for old school music - well, unless you've been living under a rock or just not paying attention. I am a student of music. I love talking about music, and I love hearing others talk about it. I am totally obsessed with anything released in the 1970's. Ask anyone with any real knowledge of music, and they will probably agree that the best music made, in any genre, was made in the 1970s.

With that being said, I have a shit ton of classic soul music playlists. I get made fun of by friends all the time because I "always wanna listen to that OLD shit," and my answer is more times than not, "you're damn right!" Music is a feeling, and old school music provides me with an indescribable kind of feeling  - one that newer music does not. Now, don't get me wrong, as a true lover of music, I love it all - new and old, and there is a lot of newer music that effects me emotionally, but the core of my heart is with the classics - the timeless music that will never lose its luster or fizzle out, music that's just as relevant today as it was over 40 years ago.

Now, my second favorite era for R&B is the 1990's. It kind of goes in this order: The 70's, the 90's, the 80's, and then everything else after. Once again, ask anyone with any real knowledge of music, and they would probably agree.

I really want a side gig at Spotify. I mean, as much time as I spend on it, I might as well get paid to be on there.

I created Billboard #1s one day out of the blue, and I had so much fun with this one. I'm pretty sure your mom and pops played all these jams in the house when you were growing up, and if you love old school soul music like I do, then you'll probably enjoy it just as much. Pour yourself a glass of Ripple (or Ripple equivalent since this is 2016) and enjoy this jam-packed endless groove!
